Shop introductions in Soka
This is Science Home Soka branch. Today, I'd like to introduce a restaurant where you can enjoy a fresh seafood rice bowl.
Shinano Coffee Shop, located on the west side of Soka Station.
A coffee shop...? It has a sign saying it uses UCC premium beans.
Why? Because their seafood rice bowls are so famous, and the restaurant is so popular that you can't get in during weekday lunch hours without making a reservation by phone!
I'd seen it featured on various TV programs, so I was curious and decided to check it out!
Originally, it looked like a karaoke bar, and they've kept it as is, so there's still a small stage-like structure, and the chairs and tables are also typical of a bar, giving it a strange atmosphere. (laughs)
It's a family-run business, with everyone from the grandfather to the grandchildren working together, and it had a wonderfully nostalgic feel to it.
Fish and sashimi are sold in the space next to the cash register, so you can purchase them there as well.
There were so many kinds of seafood bowls to choose from that I had a hard time deciding, but this time I went with the tuna and salmon roe bowl!
It was so fresh and really delicious, I think I'll try something different next time.
