This time, we'd like to introduce the T family's home, a modern Japanese-style residence that evokes the feeling of an ancient capital.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The T family's house features an impressive single-slope roof.

 

 

 

The ivory and brown two-tone exterior seems to blend in with the old-fashioned streetscape.

 

 

 

The defining characteristic of a single-slope roof is its stylish and modern design.

 

 

 

Because the structure is simple and has only one roof, material costs and construction labor can be kept down.

 

 

 

Since it faces a direction that receives sunlight, it would be a good idea to install solar panels efficiently over a large area.

 

 

 

The high ceilings make it easy to utilize space like lofts.

 

 

 

The balcony on the second floor spans the entire width, so you can hang plenty of laundry and bedding to dry.

The white walls and ebony wood tones create a striking contrast that tightens the space.

 

 

 

It creates a sophisticated atmosphere.

We have built custom storage shelves on the back wall of the kitchen.

The ceiling fan circulates the warm and cold air to maintain a constant temperature.

This is a Japanese-style room.

 

 

 

These tatami mats have borders, making them highly durable and long-lasting.

 

 

 

The presence of these elements creates a calming, traditional Japanese atmosphere.

 

 

 

A heavy, solid low table has a strong presence.

 

 

 

You can read a book while drinking tea, or use it as a guest room.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the bedroom.

 

 

 

The bed is completely enclosed, creating a private, room-like space.

 

 

 

Although the bedroom is spacious, the area around the bed feels secluded and provides a sense of security.

 

 

 

We installed custom-made shelves on the wall.

 

 

 

Since it's already installed, there's no need to worry about it falling over even during an earthquake.
