A traditional Japanese cypress house that allows parents to balance work and childcare

Hello

This is Science Home Soka store.

Today we will introduce you to Mr. Y's home, which has a nostalgic, single-story exterior and a red postbox as its landmark.

Upon opening the front door, you are greeted by iron botanical art and greenery. The cypress floor, finished in a dark walnut color that evokes an aged look, has a nostalgic feel to it. When you open the original "Hama Door," which is decorated with the traditional Hamamatsu Chusen dyeing technique that has been used since the Taisho era, you will see the strength of the exposed beams and pillars made of shinkabe (solid wall construction). The sunset-colored accent wallpaper and living room staircase create a sense of openness all the way up to the ceiling.

Mr. and Mrs. Y said with a smile, "We wanted to create a space that didn't feel oppressive." They say that they look forward to hosting home parties in their favorite living room in the future.

A kitchen with plenty of storage space and a built-in cupboard at the back

The kitchen and other wet areas are all grouped on the north side, making it easy to move around and do housework. The storage chest and built-in counter at the front of the kitchen can be moved under the stairs if necessary. In addition to a Japanese-style room, the first floor also has a Western-style room that can be used as a home salon, to realize the wife's dream of "becoming independent in the aroma industry." The second floor has private rooms with refreshing sky-blue wallpaper and free space, making it a fun space that can be arranged to suit the children's growth and changes in lifestyle.
