Hello. This is Science Home Nagareyama store.

We would like to introduce a barrier-free house that was designed with living with parents in mind.

A simple one-story house nestled in a grove of trees. The earth-toned exterior blends in with the natural surroundings.

Mr. S's home has the theme of "a home for adults to enjoy the changing seasons and leisurely time."

A house was completed that was carefully designed to accommodate a wheelchair user, with the expectation that my parents would be welcomed in.

The gable roof* shape is retained, while the interior has high ceilings and an open feel.

The dining table, made from a single piece of Akita cedar, is very impressive.

An island kitchen was installed so that guests can face each other when they come over. We also enjoy chatting on the deck terrace next to the bay window.

At the wife's request to "value her own time," a counter table with edges was installed in the lower-back window.

We took care to plan the space to suit different situations, such as a loft for overnight guests and a Japanese-style room for spending time with parents.

The inner garage, which has a corner for a wood stove that Mr. O plans to install in the future, is a space where he can enjoy his hobbies.

The floor height is the same as inside the building and the hallways are wide, making it easy for wheelchair users to move around the house.

The roof is made of galvalume steel plate, which is easy to remove snow from, and the slope of the roof has been calculated to allow snow to fall off naturally.
Mr. S said happily, "I can feel the atmosphere of my favorite campsite at home." He can say one word about how comfortable the place is: "I'm very satisfied!"

Mr. S's home is lovely with antique lighting that gently illuminates the solid wood, creating a relaxing space.

In the near future, the couple is looking forward to spending time enjoying their hobbies in the inner garage, which is fitted with their long-desired wood stove.
